On May 6, 2025, the FOODPrint project hosted an online training session focused on Doughnut Economics, a fresh and inspiring way to think about creating a fair and sustainable future for both people and the planet.

The session brought together participants from across Europe and followed a dynamic agenda designed to encourage learning and exchange. The training began with a brief overview of the FOODPrint project and continued with a presentation of non-formal education (NFE) materials created within the project.

One of the highlights of the session was the introduction to the Doughnut Economics model, which looks at how we can create a fair and sustainable future by balancing the needs of people and the planet.
Participants explored the core dimensions of the model through group discussions and interactive tools like Mentimeter.

In breakout rooms, participants from different countries worked in pairs to reflect on the “people” and “planet” dimensions of the doughnut framework. The insights were then shared in a group panel, where participants expressed both their learnings and personal impressions of the model.

The session wrapped up with a short feedback survey and a reminder of the importance of integrating sustainable thinking into youth work. The FOODPrint team looks forward to continuing these learning spaces as the project grows.
